Who's Behind MyWild Reset
From Concrete to Campfires. From Commando to Clarity.
Hey! I am Dave and welcome to My Wild Reset!
I wasn’t born into the outdoors. In fact, I grew up on a council estate where wild places felt like a world away, distant, unreachable. But whenever we could, my mates and I would disappear into scraps of woodland, building rope swings and makeshift camps, finding freedom in the smallest patches of green.
Then came the military and everything changed. Becoming a Commando-trained soldier forged me from the inside out. I learnt what it meant to lead, to endure, to strip life back to its essentials. And I found something powerful in the wild: not just challenge, but connection.

The military deepened my relationship with the outdoors and sharpened my understanding of safety, self-reliance, and working with natural environments. Over time, I carried those skills into teaching wilderness and survival skills, learning how to guide others calmly and confidently in wild places. That path eventually led me to paddle sports, where the connection between movement, water, and presence comes to the fore with every stroke.
“The wild doesn’t fix you, it gives you the space to reset”.
My Wild Reset
Today, I bring all of that together – using sea kayaking, bushcraft, and raw outdoor time to create the conditions for people to slow down, reconnect, and think clearly again. It’s not about toughness or endurance, but about using the wild in a grounded, intentional way. Whether it’s navigating coastal waters by sea kayak, building fires in ancient woodlands, or simply learning how to slow down, I guide small groups through raw, curated experiences that recalibrate the mind and body.

This isn’t about roughing it. It’s about resetting, reconnecting, and returning to your world with sharper presence and deeper calm. Because I’ve lived both sides the grind and the grit and I know what it takes to come back to yourself.
